Gambia internet users were cut off from the rest of the world for more than six hours after an internet blackout  

The outage caused public anger at the authorities and several people took to social media to express their rage.

This is the second internet blackout in less than two months. No official comment was made by the authorities but observers attribute it to problems with the country’s submarine cable.

The Gambia is among countries with the worst internet services and a high cost for it despite the vast majority living in poverty.
