The Gambia U-20 football team will take on their host Liberia’s junior team in a friendly match ahead of the WAFU Zone A youth championship.

The young scorpions who are drawn along with Senegal and Mali – are looking forward to a triumphant championship.

The Wednesday friendly match will serve as a stepping stone for the country’s youth team who have been undergoing rigorous training after a rigorous selection process from the country’s second and first division league. 

The team will set out for day two training session tomorrow morning at 08:00hrs 

As part of their activities while on the training camp in Liberia, the team will later watch Liberia vs Algeria in the AFCON 2025 Qualifier game at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Stadium in Monrovia later in the afternoon.
