The Gambia U-20 team will return home from Argentina on Sunday after their elimination from the FIFA U-20 World Cup. 

The Young Scorpions set off their World Cup journey with spectacular performance after beating Honduras and France to top their group.

But their dream were dashed on Thursday after losing to Uruguay by 1-0.

According to the official page of The Gambia Football Federation, the Young Scorpions and their delegation will today leave Argentina for Addis Ababa then Ghana before arriving in Banjul on Sunday. 

The team has been praised for showcasing their talents at the elite tournament after a 16 year absence.
