Gambian and Brighton ace Yankuba Minteh has warned of a stern test as the Scorpions take on Kenya in a crucial World Cup qualifier on Friday.

The sides drew 3-3 in March, and Minteh says Friday’s clash at Kasarani Stadium will be no walk in the park.

“Although it’s going to be a difficult game, Kenya have the advantage with their home fans. We need to be ready,” he told reporters.

Gambia’s Independence Stadium is still not up to CAF standards, with millions of dalasis spent on renovations yet to finish.

Fans and pundits are furious at Gambian football chiefs, blaming them for the delays that could harm the team’s chances.
