Gambian army wrestler, Alagie Sanneh, has passed away after battling long illness. 

Serign Modou Faye, president of Gambia Wrestling Association (GWA), described Sanneh’s death as “sad and devastating”. 

He said Sanneh’s death is a huge loss to the country’s wrestling community. 

He expressed condolences on behalf of the association to the family of the deceased soldier.
