A Gambian construction worker who died after a wall collapsed on him in Malta has been named as Sarjo Konteh from Nyimina Jaffaie, Fulladu in the Central River Region. 

The tragic accident happened on Thursday morning at a construction site in Bormla, Malta. 

The 32-year-old former soldier’s body was removed from the site by civil protection workers later on Thursday morning.

It is not clear whether police have contacted the family of Sarjo Konteh. 

Another construction worker was also injured and remained in hospital in critical condition.
