The future of Gambian volleyball shone brightly on the sands of Kasumai Beach as Ensa Bakary Kanyi and Abdallah Bah delivered a spectacular performance to win the 2025 Banjul CAVB U-18 Beach Volleyball Youth Development Cup, defeating Sierra Leone in straight sets.

The Gambian duo displayed excellent chemistry throughout the final, combining powerful serves, quick reflexes, and sharp net play to control the rhythm of the match.

The duo took the opening set 21-17, holding their nerve in key rallies to gain the early advantage. In the second set, Kanyi and Bah maintained their momentum, tightening their defence and punishing Sierra Leone with clinical spikes to close the game 21-15.

With the victory, Gambia not only celebrated a championship but also showcased the growing strength of its youth volleyball program.

The home crowd at Kasumai Beach erupted in joy as Kanyi and Bah raised the Gambian flag high, marking a proud moment for the nation in continental volleyball.
