Baba Sillah, a Gambian father of five who was set to be deported to his native Gambia, has been released from an immigration detention centre after the intervention of the Governor of New York, Andre Cuomo.

Sillah, who has lived in the U.S since 1993, has been reunited with his family after a tough fight by his  friends, family and co-workers.
