The Brighton & Hove Albion FC marauding star Yankuba Minteh shines the brightest among the Scorpions players on club duty as he netted and provided an assist in his side’s 3-1 win over Manchester United in the Premier League last Sunday. 

The Gambia international found the back of the net just five minutes into the encounter to become the first-ever Gambian to score against Manchester United in a competitive match and the first Scorpion player to score at Old Trafford. Yankuba Minteh also provided a fabulous assist to his teammate Mitoma with a brilliant pass for him to score in the encounter.  

Alassana Jatta assisted a goal in Notts County’s 3-0 emphatic win over Accrington in the English League 2. 

Ebou Adams played a full 90 minutes in Derby County’s 2-0 defeat against Watford in the English Championship.  

In Italy, Alieu Fadera has made his 18th consecutive start in the Italian Seria A in Como’s 4-1 annilihating victory against Udinese. In Seria B, Scorpion midfield maestro Ebrima Darboe scored his first league goal of the season in Frosinone’s 1-1 away draw against Modena.  

Gambian international Abdoulie Ceesay was introduced in the 80th minute for his second cameo appearance in the Bundesliga in St Pauli’s 2-0 win over FC Heidenheim. 

Adama Bojang’s search for a first-goal contribution continued in Switzerland as his side claimed a narrow 1-0 win against Sion. The young Gambian started his fourth match in the League for Grasshopper. 

In the Saudi Arabian Pro League, Musa Barrow’s Al-Taawoun conceded a 1-0 defeat against Al-Riyadh. Al-Riyadh scored a 90+11 penalty to salvage a victory against Musa Barrow’s side. Musa hit the woodwork once in the encounter but he couldn’t break the deadlock.
