Adama Bojang, Gambian forward nicknamed the hurricane, scored twice as the Young Scorpions beat Honduras in their U-20 World Cup opener yesterday.

Bojang now equals former Gambian international Ousman Jallow U-20 World Cup score record in 2007.

The prolific striker has caught the attention of big European teams including Chelsea and Ajax thanks to his brilliant AFCON performance.

Hurricane Bojang was able to set the pace after putting Gambia ahead with a superb goal which was levelled five minutes later by the Honduran youngsters.

But the unstoppable Gambian hurricane Bojang scored a second goal to send Gambia top of Group F and solidify their position in the U-20 World Cup group stages.

Gambia will now face France on Thursday to play their second group stage match.

The boys performance has electrified fans back home with thousands celebrating their win and hoping for another exceptional U-20 World Cup after 16 years absence.
