A Gambian man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman in Edinburgh.
Momodou Bobb, 55, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, where he faced a single charge of murder.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody, due to reappear within eight days.
Bobb was arrested after police were called to reports of a disturbance at a property on Restalrig Avenue around 1am on 28 August.

The victim, named as 43-year-old Ndata Bobb, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh but died a short time later.
Detective Inspector Kevin Tait said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Ndata at this extremely difficult time.
“Our investigation remains ongoing, however we are not looking for anyone else in connection with Ndata’s death. This is a shocking incident and I would urge anyone with any concerns, or information, to contact police.”
