A Gambian man, Pa Edrisa Bojang, has been found dead in his room in Germany.

Pa Bojang, as he was known to his friends, was found unresponsive. The cause of his death is not yet known. 

A source told Gambiana that the deceased lost his mum four months ago. 

A gofundme has been set up to repatriate the remains of the 31-year-old man back to the Gambia. 

Karamba Marenah who organised the gofundme said they are seeking to raise money to repatriate the body.

“A £5000 fundraise will enable us to transport his corpse back home to The Gambia. This will incorporate the deceased’s personal wish to be buried in his homeland.

“I urge you to kindly make a donation so that Pa Bojang could rest easy in his country close to all his family and friends.

100 percent of the money raised will go to take the body back home. Thank you,” Karamba said. 

Pa Bojang’s death followed the fatal shooting of a 46-year-old Gambian man Lamin Touray by German Police over the weekend. 

The Gambian community in Germany said they are being “shaken” by the tragic deaths of the two young Gambian men.
