Gambian international Ebou Adams has been named Derby County Supporters’ Club Player of the Year for the 2024/25 season, recognising his outstanding contributions in the heart of midfield during a challenging campaign.
Adams, who joined Derby permanently from Cardiff City last summer, has been instrumental in the Rams’ push to avoid relegation. The 28-year-old has featured in 42 matches across all competitions, scoring six goals and playing over 3,600 minutes this season.

Renowned for his tireless work rate and physical presence, Adams currently leads the Championship in successful tackles (60) and has made 23 interceptions an impressive combined total of 83, the highest in England’s top four tiers. His average of 3.8 tackles per game puts him ahead of several Premier League midfielders in defensive impact.
His ability to break up opposition play, cover ground, and lead by example has made him a fan favorite at Pride Park. Supporters and pundits alike have heaped praise on the Gambian midfielder, describing him as a “beast” and an “engine” at the core of Derby’s survival mission.
The award is a testament to Adams’ consistency, resilience, and importance to Derby County’s squad as they continue their fight to remain in the Championship.
