Gambian professional Judoka Faye Njie and Abdourahman Ceesay are set to fight in the Senior African Judo Championship in Cairo. 

Faye will be the first on the Tatami when he faces Morocco’s Mohamed Jafty in the -73 Kg in the first round at 10 am GMT on Friday April 26.

Faye’s compatriot Abdourahman Ceesay begins his competition on Saturday April 27. He is up against Paul Kibikai from Gabon in the -90 Kg fight at 10 am.

The Senior African Judo Championship is part of a series of Olympic qualifiers as the duo continue to accumulate points necessary to qualify for Paris Summer Olympics 2024.
