
Personnel of the Laminkoto Military Base have arrested a suspected armed robber following a violent attack in Kuntaur Fula Kunda, Central River Region South.
The incident occurred around 3:00am on Tuesday, 22 October 2025. It was reported that a soldier on official pass heard gunshots and alerted the Laminkoto Military Base.
A team led by Major Malick Boye was immediately deployed to the scene, where they apprehended one suspect, identified as Musa Njie, a native of Totten village, after a brief pursuit.

Njie was found in possession of a locally made gun and a quantity of suspected cannabis sativa.

The robbery targeted local businessman Alagie Kawsu Kebba Jaiteh, who was reportedly assaulted during the attack and sustained injuries, including two broken teeth. The assailants are said to have made away with his safe.
The suspect has been handed over to the Kuntaur Police for further investigation and possible prosecution.
