Former Sibanor United wunderkind Francis Gomez is left out of coach Yahya Manneh’s 24-man squad amid AC Horsens’s refusal to let the wing wizard join the Baby Scorpions for the U-17 Africa Cup Of Nations in Morocco.  

Francis scored a remarkable 3 goals for The Gambia U-17 in the WAFU A qualifiers before leaving Sibanor United his boyhood club to sign a contract with AC Horsens.

Coach Yahya Manneh has today (23 March) released his final 24-man squad that will represent The Gambia in the expanded CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco, 2025.

The squad is dominated by the Baby Scorpions team that won Bronze in the WAFU A qualifiers in Thies, Senegal.
