In our second Gambiana Spotlight interview, chief reporter Adama Makasuba sits down with politician and philanthropist Neneh Cheyasine Kebe, who is seeking the country’s vice-presidential seat.

In the exclusive interview, she sets out why she believes Gambians should give her and her PPP–Golden Era movement the mandate to govern in the December 5 elections.

She also addresses public debate over her controversial remarks on infant mortality, in which she claimed that “300 out of 1,000 babies die”, and defends her position.

The conversation further explores criticism of her appearance, including an outfit reportedly worth thousands of dalasis that sparked widespread
discussion on social media.

The full interview will air next week on Gambiana’s YouTube page.
