Fans of the debutants the Scorpions have been sharing their prediction on Saturday’s quarterfinal match against host nation Cameroon.

They predict that the Scorpions will sting with a clear sheet victory against Cameroon, an African football powerhouse and four-time Afcon champions. 

The Gambia national team will play in their biggest match ever on Saturday (29 January at 4pm GMT) at the Jopama Stadium in Doula. 

The team have already made history qualifying for the Afcon quarterfinal after a sensational victory against Guinea’s Sly Nationals.

And if they beat Cameroon tomorrow, they will make it to the semi-finals.

Momodou Torp said: “Gambia winning against Cameroon tomorrow, penalty kick after a tough full-time draw. Inshallah. Who’s feeling what I’m feeling.”

Honourable Dibba predicted that The Gambia will score 2 goals against Cameroon while Pa Landing Njie predicted that The Gambia’s Scorpions will win by 1- 0.

Another fan added: “Keep the confidence coach! We just want a good referee since the COVID shenanigans are gone! We shall settle this on Saturday.”
