Police in Germany have arrested seven Gambia asylum seekers suspected of being former aides to Yahya Jammeh, reports local media. 

The men are accused of gross human rights violations including torture, extrajudicial killings in The Gambia during the Jammeh dictatorship. 

The seven suspects, whose asylum applications are pending with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF),were arrested in the town of Baden-Württemberg after their homes were raided by German police. 

The arrest in Germany comes weeks after U.S police charged Jungler Michael Sang Correa,41, with human rights crimes including torture and conspiracy in The Gambia.
