Sprinter Gina Mariam Bass Bittaye has been appointed as a member of the Athletes’ Commission of the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC), in recognition of her exceptional achievements and leadership in sports.

Her appointment reflects her long-standing dedication to athletics and her role in inspiring a new generation of Gambian athletes. 

As one of the country’s most decorated sprinters, Bass brings invaluable experience to the commission, which represents the interests of athletes within the Olympic movement.

The GNOC said her inclusion will strengthen efforts to promote athlete welfare, development, and engagement in sports governance.
