An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her friend’s dad after she went over to their house to play. 

The girl told the High Court in Banjul that her friend’s dad, identified as Saikou Bah of Sinchu Alagie in Kombo North District, raped her on seven different occasions.

And every time after the sexual assault he would gave her D5 to buy candy.

She said the sexual assaults stopped after her mum confronted her about the source of her candy money. 

After confiding to her mum, she reported the matter to police. 

Bah faced several charges including rape and indecent assault of a minor.
