The National People’s Party (NPP) is facing rising frustration among its grassroots members, who say their concerns are going unheard by the party leadership.

A statement issued by the party’s social media team on Wednesday highlighted growing dissatisfaction among the foot soldiers, those working on the ground to promote the party’s vision and mobilise support within communities.

The statement warned of deepening divisions inside the party and called on President H.E. The Président to intervene directly.

It accused a group of senior advisers of providing misguided counsel, which has further alienated loyal supporters.

The social media team stressed that recent resignations have not come from senior officials with direct access to the President, but from grassroots operatives vital to engaging voters and sustaining the party’s strength.

Figures such as Demba Sabally and Seedy Ceesay were criticised for allegedly putting personal interests ahead of the concerns of ordinary members.

While their influence among grassroots supporters is limited, the statement said their roles in party leadership have damaged morale.

The National People’s Party urged the President to listen closely to the voices of rank-and-file members and take urgent steps to restore unity and rebuild trust within the party.
