Singer Bro K has reignited his long-standing musical rivalry with ST Brikama Boyo following remarks made during the album launch of An2 the Sparky at the Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).

Although Bro K did not mention ST Brikama Boyo by name, his comments were widely interpreted as a direct response to the rapper, with whom he has been musically at loggerheads for years.

Addressing the crowd, Bro K appeared to reference a past diss track by ST, in which the rapper indirectly mocked him for allegedly downgrading from a luxury car to a taxi.

ST had previously released a song suggesting he “gave up,” while alluding to Bro K changing his Benz to a taxi, a line that has since circulated widely among fans.

Responding to the narrative, Bro K pushed back strongly.

“I’m the double signal. Do you know Sukai Taal, the country’s biggest ‘Jeg’ lady who has a child? He said I changed my Benz to a taxi, but he failed to tell you that I’m the double signal,” Bro K said.

The statement drew loud reactions from the audience, with many interpreting it as Bro K asserting resilience, relevance, and continued success despite criticism from rivals.

The exchange adds another chapter to one of Gambian music’s most talked-about rivalries, which has played out over the years through indirect lyrics, public statements, and fan debates rather than direct confrontations.

Neither ST Brikama Boyo nor his camp has responded to Bro K’s latest remarks, but fans are already speculating whether the comments could spark a new round of musical responses.
