Imam Abdul Kareem Kuyateh has claimed that unidentified individuals are using women, alleged spiritual practices and other forms of intimidation in an attempt to stop him from preaching, but insisted he will not be silenced.

Speaking during a recent sermon, Kuyateh alleged that for months, some people had been targeting him through different means after, he said, earlier attempts to intimidate him failed.

“As long as I live, no one will stop me from preaching,” he declared.

The imam alleged that unknown individuals repeatedly loosened the wheel nuts of his vehicle whenever it was parked, describing it as one of several attempts to intimidate him.

“Months ago, anywhere I parked my car, someone would come and loosen my tyre nuts,” he said.

According to Kuyateh, when those alleged attempts failed, some people began sending women to approach him in what he claimed was an effort to damage his reputation.

“They started sending girls to me to distract me and bring me down,” he alleged.

He claimed that some women had sent him photographs and messages, warning that anyone who continued doing so risked being publicly exposed.

“I have warned any girl who sends me pictures or messages that I will expose you on the internet. In fact, I have never even looked at those pictures,” he said.

The preacher also alleged that suspected “juju” materials had been placed inside his vehicle in an attempt to harm or frighten him.
“Some people even placed papers containing juju in my car,” he claimed.

Despite the alleged incidents, Kuyateh said he remained undeterred, insisting that he fears only Allah and not human beings or those he accused of trying to intimidate him.

“I want to tell them that they and their marabouts cannot do anything to me. I fear only Allah, not human beings,” he said.

The imam did not identify those he believes are behind the alleged acts, and no independent evidence has been presented publicly to substantiate his claims.
