Alagie Tamba, an immigration officer, has been arrested on suspicion of rape.

Mr Tamba, a station officer, was arrested on Sunday in Kaur.

Police spokesman ASP Lamin Njie told Gambiana that “we have received a complaint of rape involving Alagie Tamba, and the Police have opened an investigation on the case.”

He said Tamba is currently in custody helping the police in their investigation.
