Kanifing Magistrate Court has sentenced Kairaba Avenue money exchange bureau robber, Momodou Bah, to five years in jail.
The robber was arrested last Friday for breaking into A&K Bureau de Change at Kairaba Avenue during Friday congregational prayers and stole cash amounting to D25,000.
On Monday Bah was charged with two counts of felony and stealing.
The carpenter was found guilty on both charges and sentenced to five years in jail.
“The first charge is five years and the second charge is four year which means he will serve five years in jail as he serves both sentences concurrently,” police spokeswoman Cadet ASP Binta Njie told Gambiana.
