The leader of Gambia Democratic Congress, Mama Kandeh, has launched a fresh attack on his longtime political rival, President Adama Barrow, as he continues his country tour.

Mr Kandeh, who hails from the same constituency as the president, has been a longstanding rival to Barrow and defeated him in the 2007 parliamentary election.

Speaking at a rally in Willingaraba, Kandeh, said: “I told him, the people he moves with and what they are telling him, they are not telling him the truth.

“They took our money and scattered it everywhere and they told him he got the support of the Gambian People.”

“Even the village he is from, is not with him. Let him open his eyes, they are failing him,” he added.
