Mama Kandeh, leader of Gambia Democratic Congress, has promised to send 7000 Gambian youths abroad on academic and vocational skills training if he is elected president in December.

Speaking at a rally in Njomen Bantaba, Central Badibou region, Kandeh said: “4000 youths will be sent to study academia and 3000 youths will be sent for skills training which is a guarantee in my presidency.

“I know what I am saying some people might think it is not possible but it’s possible because if Ghana is doing it for their youths, why can’t it be done by The Gambia.”

According to him, Gambian youths have been neglected by the Barrow administration.

“I will never be a president who will ignored and deport it citizens and dumped them,” he added.

GDC official Lamin Tunkara urged Gambian youths to rally behind Kandeh and vote him into office.

Momodou MC Cham Junior, GDC national mobilizer also urged youths to vote for Kandeh, adding he will address their plights.
