Liverpool have made an approach to sign Gambian winger Yankuba Minteh from Brighton & Hove Albion, according to renowned football journalist David Ornstein.
The 22-year-old winger, who is currently sidelined with an injury, is understood to be among Liverpool’s options as the Premier League giants explore reinforcements for their wide attacking positions.
Liverpool reportedly submitted a bid worth around £50 million for Minteh in recent days, but Brighton have turned down the offer.

The reported interest adds another major chapter to Minteh’s rapidly growing career, with the Gambian international continuing to attract attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Interestingly, Gambian transfer specialist Foday Foo Manneh was the first to report Liverpool’s possible interest in Minteh back in October 2025, months before the latest approach emerged.
Yankuba Minteh joined Brighton from Newcastle United in 2024 and has established himself as one of the club’s key attacking talents.
