Mai Ahmad Fatty, leader of Gambia Moral Congress, has advised the Barrow government to review its decision on the closure of radio stations without delay.

The government shutdown two privately-owned radio stations and arrested four journalists amid Sunday protest that turned violent.

At least 137 people were arrested including the top brass of Operation Three Years Jotna who are now facing charges that carry life imprisonment. Their case was on Wednesday transferred to the high court in Banjul after Kanifing Magistrates Court announced it did not have the jurisdiction to hear the case.

And speaking at a press conference on Thursday at his party bureau at Kairaba Avenue, Mai Ahmed Fatty said:” regarding the closure of radio stations, I urge the government to review the descion without delay.”
