Mai Ahmed Fatty, leader of the Gambia Moral Congress, has predicted President Adama Barrow’s landslide victory in the 2026 election, warning the opposition that the alliance will teach them an unforgettable lesson that the country has never witnessed before.

Mr. Fatty made the remarks while speaking to reporters shortly after a grand meeting with President Adama Barrow and seven political parties rallying behind him to secure his re-election in 2026.

“Our mantra is nothing except continuity and consolidation. We are cognisant that development is a process and a marathon, not a sprint. You cannot achieve everything at the same time, nor can you solve everything at once.

“However, there is a focused approach to the development challenges this country is facing, and there is a serious commitment to tackling them. We have seen real evidence of how the state can be managed so far.”

“We are focused on that, and I can assure you that no amount of distraction will derail that focus. We will remain committed to consolidation and continuity to achieve total victory in the 2026 elections. We are very proud and confident on the path to victory, and we will continue to stay focused. The 2026 election is going to be a game changer, the likes of which have never been witnessed in our history.”
