The man who was allegedly killed by his lover last night at the Friendship Hotel has been named as Momodou Lamarana Jallow. 

He worked as an IT specialist at the Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

Jallow was reported to have been killed by his lover at a row at the hostel. 

Police were called to the hotel following a row that led to the brutal killing. 

The reason for the row that led to the killing is yet to be established. 

The alleged killer, identified as Kumba Sinyan, was taken into custody. 

She’s a young Gambian entrepreneur who owns Tut Linguere. 

Police this morning (14 September) transferred the remains of Lamrana Jallow to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul for autopsy.

Speaking exclusively to Gambiana, police spokeswoman, Cadet ASP Binta Njie, said: “It is said that they were in a relationship. No, they were not married.”

According reports Jallow was due to travel to Indonesia tomorrow for further studies after securing a scholarship.
