The Gambia national team coach, Johnathan McKinstry, has unveiled his 25-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier matches against Kenya and Burundi scheduled for September 5 and 9, 2025.

Tromsø defender Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh has earned his maiden call-up to the Scorpions, while Jesper Ceesay is expected to make his first appearance under McKinstry.

The squad also sees the return of striker Adama Bojang, adding more firepower to the attack.

The Scorpions will open their September campaign against Kenya on September 5, before taking on Burundi four days later.

Both matches are crucial as The Gambia continue to strengthen their position in the World Cup Group.
