Medina United FC were crowned champions of the 2025/26 GFF Male Division One League after a dramatic final day victory over Gambia Ports Authority.

Adama Kanteh emerged as the hero, scoring a dramatic winner in the 90+2 minute as Medina United secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over GPA FC at SK East to seal the league title in remarkable fashion.

The victory completed a dream campaign for Medina United, who made history by winning the top-flight league in their maiden season.

Fortune FC pushed the title race to the very end and did their part with a narrow 1-0 victory over Steve Biko FC at Box Bar. Salifu Colley converted an 85th-minute penalty to hand Fortune all three points, but it was ultimately not enough as Medina held on to claim the crown.

Elsewhere, BST Galaxy FC ended their season in style with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Bombada FC, while Greater Tomorrow FC secured a vital 3-2 win over Real De Banjul United.

Falcons FC defeated Hart FC 2-1, TMT FC earned a crucial 2-1 victory over Team Rhino FC and Hawks FC played out a 1-1 draw against Samger FC. Gambian Dutch Lions FC and Brikama United also shared the spoils in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

The final day delivered late drama, tension and unforgettable moments, but in the end it was Medina United who stood tallest as the new kings of Gambian football.
