The Ministry of Health has announced the sixth coronavirus death as the country sees a spike in new cases.

“One new death recorded, bringing to 6 the total number of COVID-19 related deaths reported – this represents a crude case fatality rate of 2.8%,” the Ministry of Health said on Friday.

Despite the surge in the number of new cases, the country’s state of public emergency has been lifted.

But other restrictions like social distancing and face mask wearing are compulsory from Friday.

The authorities say that the country’s land, air, and sea borders remained closed.
