Momodou Sabally

Momodou Sabally, National Youth President of the National People’s Party (NPP), has dismissed Talib Bensouda’s Unite Movement as “a political nonentity,” criticising its failure to mobilise supporters effectively.

Mr Sabally highlighted the movement’s inability to gather even 10,000 voter cards, challenging Bensouda’s earlier claim that it controlled 30,000.

He also criticised the movement’s campaign tactics, alleging that supporters were handing out sweets at night to encourage voter registration, calling the approach a far cry from “serious politics.”

He urged Gambians to focus on established parties capable of contributing meaningfully to national governance and stressed the need for credible, organised political engagement.
