Momodou Sabally, former head of the civil service, now a member of the United Democratic Party, has slammed the Barrow government over alleged deportation letter of Gambians in Switzerland.

Sabally, a fierce critic of the Barrow government, said in a much-shared audio message: “They did not tell them to abandon the thing, they asked them to delay it temporarily.

“This letter they wrote never said for deportation to be cancelled. They just want nerves to calm and then they would proceed. This is what is called witching.

He claimed the government has never assisted those Gambians who put their lives on the line to travel abroad and “you now want to conspire with Europeans to deport them just because of the small benefit going into your pocket.”

Sabally said  it was “per diem” that made Dr Tangara and Dr Isatou Touray to travel to Switzerland “for our youths to be deported and these people will never want anyone to deport their children.”

“Maybe they never expected I will see this letter but the letter has exposed them and has confirmed the allegations I made against them that Dr Touray and Tangara went to sign an agreement in Switzerland for deportation. The letter has proved that this is true,” he added.
