Mozambique have held Egypt to a 2-2 draw in their AFCON opening match.
The Pharoah’s striker Mostafa Mohamed took advantage of Salah’s semi-miss to put his team ahead just 2 minutes into the game.
But the Mambas kept on the pressure on the seventh times champions of Africa throughout the game.
Few minutes after returning from the first half break, the Mambas skillful young forward Witi levelled the score with his header from a long-range pass by central defender Domingos Macandza.
Mozambiquen substitute Clesio Bauque helped to put the Mambas ahead after beating the Egyptian defence line.
The Pharoah of Egypt kept their search for an equaliser which were denied by the Mambas of Mozambique.
However, Liverpool winger and Egypt captain wiped off the frustration on the faces of his fans after he converted a dying minute penalty for the Pharaoh.
