
The death of 40-year-old truck driver Kebba Sarr at a guest house in Wellingara has sparked widespread public concern, with many calling for a swift and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Sarr was reportedly found dead at Jagana Guest House after checking in on Sunday night. According to reports, he arrived in a private vehicle and was later joined by a woman.
Witnesses said the pair spent more than an hour in a room before the incident occurred.
The alarm was reportedly raised shortly before midnight when a woman approached the guest house office in distress, saying she had heard a man screaming from one of the rooms.
“I found him screaming and I don’t know what happened to him,” she reportedly told staff.
The woman is said to have left the premises shortly after alerting management.
The incident has generated intense discussion on social media, with many Gambians questioning the circumstances of Sarr’s death and calling for a thorough investigation.
Authorities have confirmed that efforts are underway to trace the woman who was reportedly with Sarr before his death.
Police have not yet released details on the cause of death, and investigations are ongoing.
