A money transfer service, NAFA Financial, will expand its social economic cooperation to underprivileged students to acquire better education after funding the youth gathering organised by the Kanifing Red Cross branch that was centred around youth development at a tune of D119,000.
The gathering saw the distribution of food packs to the less privileged people to break their fasts around Westfield.
Speaking to reporters, Pa Malick Saine, business development officer at NAFA, said the organisation deemed it ideal to give back to the country through youth development.
“We took it upon us that as an organisation that we need to contribute to national development. And Red Cross is a humanity society that helps people for free and we think it will be very great for NAFA to take part in this to help youths,” he told reporters.
“We are also planning to go to the upcountries and then also help in school students who couldn’t access better education and also social development,”Saine added.
Meanwhile, Omar Badjie, Kanifing Municipality Red Cross branch manager, thanked NAFA for the benevolent support, adding the organisation has been rendering enoumous supports to the service of his institution.
