Ebrima Tabora Manneh, leader of the People’s Alliance Party (PAP), has claimed the Barrow government has “woefully failed”in delivering developments to the country
Speaking exclusively to Gambiana Mr Manneh said: “the Barrow government has mismanaged our economic resources. How can a political party that was recently formed be able to establish eight political bureaus at once? If the government is delivering, people wouldn’t be feeling hardship. But the fact is the government is not delivering. And people are hungry. The government has failed woefully.”
Commenting on Barrow’s just concluded nationwide tour, Mr Manneh condemned the Barrow government for politicising a constitutionally mandated nationwide tour.
“What is spent on the president’s tour isn’t worth it. The presidential tour has been turned to a political tour instead of meeting citizens to discuss their concerns. But what we have seen is that his tour is turned to opening political bureaus which is shameful. The country is now derailed under Barrow and action is needed to put back the country on track. In terms of economic development, the country has failed and Gambians must take ownership of their country,” he added.
