Lamin Dampha, who was the permanent secretary at the Ministry of Trade, has been redeployed to the Health ministry.

No reason was given for his redeployment by the government but analysts believed it was part of a shakeup of the civil service by the Barrow administration.

Several other prominent civil servants have either being redeployed or sacked from their posts. Social Security chief Muhammed Manjang and Alhagie Nyangado of the Office of the President have been named as two of the other high profile civil servants to be redeployed to other government departments.
