Police have arrested 30 people including three women around the Denton Bridge “Kaamaalo” over attempt to illegally travel by boat to Europe. 

A six month old child was also part of the would-be migrants who were arrested as they boarded the boat. 

“In a swift response, the police arrested individuals found within the mangroves, some embarking on a boat, while others dispersed upon seeing the police.

“In light of the above, we urge communities and individuals to come together in support of humane and regular migration solutions, ensuring the safety and rights of all people are respected,” police said.
