Police have arrested a man who went into hiding after his gang was linked with a series of robberies in the Greater Banjul area.

The suspect was apprehended following a joint intel investigation by officers from Latriya, Sukuta, and Old Yundum police stations. 

“A C-Class Mercedes Benz, reported stolen at the Old Yundum Police Station on December 27, 2024, was recovered from the suspect’s second residence in Dalaba Estate. Other items, including a jacket, daggers, and a smartphone, were also seized.

“The suspect has revealed the identity of an accomplice, Ebou, who remains at large. Efforts to locate and apprehend the accomplice are ongoing. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses,” police said.
