Police have arrested Ismaila Faye from Bassori over the alleged robbing of a Western Union bureau at Farato Bojang Kunda off over D75,000. 

“The suspect reportedly disguised himself as a customer, threatened an employee with a knife, and fled with D75,126 after binding and gagging the victim,” police said. 

“During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and led police to his residence, where D28,106 was found. He admitted to spending a significant amount of the stolen money on construction materials, including cement, sand, and gravel.

“Further searches recovered a knife used in the robbery and the victim’s two mobile phones. The suspect has been charged and remains in custody as the investigation continues,” it added.
