More than 30 people, including a woman, have been arrested during a targeted police operation in Drimakolong, Brikama.

The raid, carried out on Sunday, was led by the Lower West Coast Taskforce in collaboration with patrol teams and the Banjulinding Anti-Crime Unit.

It followed growing concerns from residents about a rise in criminal activity in the area.

Police said the operation was prompted by reports of serious offences, including assaults and robberies. A recent stabbing incident had further heightened fears within the community.

All suspects are currently undergoing screening to determine their level of involvement, while investigations remain ongoing.
