Brusubi Police has charged former TRRC lead counsel, Essa Faal and Gambian Youtuber and comedian Ebou Bah who is commonly known as Baba Jah with “idle and disorderly conduct”.

The two came into a violent spat on Saturday night after an argument. 

A video of the incident widely shared online showed the two men arguing. Essa Faal could be heard saying “this is the biggest insult you can do to a Muslim” after Baba Jah insulted his mother. 

Jah could also be heard saying in the video:  “you see Essa Faal insulting my parents. Essa Faal you’re lying. You stood for people who killed. That’s how you make your money. You’re a lawyer. You stood for murderers. So fuck you. Do something let me see.”

According to Brusubi police, one of Mr Faal’s security guards was charged with assault after accosting Baba Jah. 

Faal and Jah were both granted bail and D100,000 surety. The former state is ordered to report to Brusubi police tomorrow.
