The Gambia Police Force has denied report it arrested the wife of Mbemba Drammeh, who fled to France while on bail after alleging election rigging in last presidential election.

This follows report by Kerr Fatou claiming Sira Touray, the wife of Mbemba Drammeh has been detained.

Police described the report as “baseless and misleading claims circulating on social media regarding the alleged arrest of Sira Touray by The Gambia Police Force.”

The force warned that “such misinformation is not only false but also irresponsible, as it seeks to tarnish the reputation of the police and mislead the public.”
