Police have detained three men suspected of stealing sheep in the Greater Banjul Area.
Police said personnel of its Police Intervention Unit Charlie Platoon arrested one of the suspects – Abdou Bah, 29, at Farato “during early morning patrols for being in possession of a suspected stolen sheep.”
“The Delta and VIP Platoons also during routine vehicle checks intercepted a yellow taxi with registration number BJL 6020 L around Pipeline.
“Search was conducted on the taxi leading to the discovery of a suspected stolen sheep placed on the front seat of the taxi.
“Two suspects were arrested by the names Modou Jallow 30 and Modou Lamin Ceesay 27 years old,” police said.
The suspects are helping the police in their investigations, the police added.
Police also urged members of the public to volunteer information about criminal activities within their communities.
