Serekunda police have detained dozens of suspects in a major operation targeting an alleged online scamming network.

Officers arrested 19 individuals in Brusubi following a tip-off.

The suspects were found occupying two floors of a building along the Brusubi Highway, reportedly equipped with laptops and other computer equipment used to run fraudulent online businesses.

Sources say most of those detained are Nigerian nationals, allegedly being trained by two Chinese nationals to promote fake online ventures.

Cybercrime and CSI units visited the scene to collect evidence and record statements. All suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
